DryWave, the UK’s leading sober event organiser, is thrilled to announce its bi-monthly alcohol-free club night, promising an unforgettable experience for those seeking a vibrant nightlife without the influence of alcohol or drugs.

In a world where sobriety is increasingly celebrated, DryWave has created a unique space for hundreds of guests who eagerly line up from 3pm, waiting for the doors of Club Vision to open. The club, located on Whitworth Street in Manchester, is guarded by a 25-foot DR Doom mask, inviting sober seekers into a maze of lasers before they enter the Wave.

The event is hosted by Ben “SoS” Riley, a former nightclub promoter and MC who turned his life around after a three-year battle with addiction.

“I used just one evening with a friend, and it went slowly downhill from there,” says Ben. “But now, my past is my greatest asset, and without the relapse, DryWave would never have been born.”

After struggling with addiction from the age of 13 to 27, Ben Riley found recovery and remained sober for seven years. During that time, he explored his art as an MC, establishing himself in the Drum N Bass circuit around the UK and developing his platform as a club promoter, starting with 70 capacity events and quickly expanding to 7,000 capacity super-clubbing events in arenas such as Bowlers and Manchester’s Academy.

The relapse nearly ended Ben’s life, leading to hospital stays after overdoses and a diagnosis of COPD with 33 per cent lung capacity.

Despite the odds, Ben has thrived. Through incremental steps towards a sober lifestyle, 12-step fellowships, gym workouts, and a focus on wellness and wellbeing, Ben is now a fit and healthy gym-goer leading a balanced life.

DryWave is not just a party; it is a movement. The event features headline acts like the late Stu Allan, DJ LUKC, MC Neat, and N Trance, bringing a professional event to Manchester’s nightlife minus the need for drink or drugs.

On 26 August, DryWave is collaborating with Fertile Frog and SIX15 for an event that promises to transform this wave into a tsunami. The event will feature three headline acts from the 90s dance scene: Living Joy (“I’m A Dreamer”), Platnum (“Love Shy”, “What’s It Going to Be”), and Sweet Female Attitude (“Flowers”). These performers will be hosting Arena 1, “THE WAVE”. Guests will be welcomed at the Fertile entrance by live DJs and saxophonist Tom De Lips, known for his impressive back-to-back DJ collaborations.

Since its inception in 2019, DryWave has seen thousands of attendees, earning it the title of “The Biggest Sober Party of the Year.” As we continue to redefine what it means to party, we invite everyone to join us on this journey of sobriety, connection, and unforgettable experiences.
