Spanish News Headlines
The Minister of Health, Mónica García, participated in the inauguration of the conference “Transformation of Primary Health Care in Spain: challenges and opportunities” and highlighted the work of professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This conference, in which a study on the situation of Primary Care has been shared, has been organized by the Ministry of Health together with the European Region of the WHO and the European Observatory of Health Systems and Policies.
A judicial ruling, which most telecom operators have stated they are willing to comply with, obliges companies to identify users who illicitly access or disseminate pirate content, such as, in this case, football matches, without permission to share or rights to distribute.
LaLiga has argued that last season it identified a total of 8,747 establishments that were broadcasting pirated content through the CCam/IKS system, “which is estimated to mean losses of up to 27.7 million euro annually.”
“Therefore, there are reasonable indications that content, works or services subject to LaLiga’s audiovisual rights are being made available or disseminated directly or indirectly (…). The registered illegal activity associated with the identified IPs has been developed by mere end consumers in good faith and without the intention of obtaining economic or commercial benefits,” the document adds.
The related departments of the Spanish Government have launched a new mobile application, ‘Catastro_app’, which allows you to collect and personalise on each mobile device, for personal use only, information on all your urban and rural properties, and you can add photographs, sketches or annotations.
Access to said APP, available for download on Android and IOS devices, requires prior identification through the various established systems such as Cl@ve PIN, permanent Cl@ve, electronic certificate or, if you do not have an electronic credential, it is Identification is possible by entering the DNI or NIE and the cadastral reference of the property of which you are the owner, or, request registration in cl@ve.

Business, Markets and Statistics
All economic eyes will turn towards Germany on Tuesday for the final reading of the country´s inflation in February, with a moderation in prices explained by the deterioration of the economic activity of the European power.
For its part, data on the unemployment rate in the United Kingdom will also be published in January, in a previous situation in which its level in December fell 0.2 pp to 3.8% of the active population.
Also in the UK, the Department of Education´s consultation on transgender issues in schools closes, and we will have important figures such as Universal Credit statistics, and Suspected drug deaths in Scotland.
OPEC monthly oil markets report will also be published.
Things to Do Today
Sports fans in Torrevieja have World Football on 15th, a rugby competition from 22 to 24, football on the 28 to 31, and handball on the same weekend.
For runners, Crevillente on 6 April has a 6k race, and the Dama de Guardamar half marathon, which takes the form of both a 10k and 21k variant, and will take place in Guardamar del Segura on 14 April 2024.
The La Siesta park and pump track opens this week in Torrevieja.

Local markets on a Tuesday can be found at Benijofar, Daya Nueva, La Marina (Elche), Orihuela, San Bartalome (Orihuela), and San Fulgencio.

Traffic and Travel
All this week, and through the weekend, the Guardia Civil and Local Police I many areas will be joining in with a campaign, coordinated by the European Traffic Police network, ROADPOL, which will be focussing on the correct use of seat belts and safety systems, including child restraints and crash helmets.
These devices have one single purpose, that is to try to keep us safe, but they can only do that if they are used, and used correctly. Therefore, as part of the periodic awareness campaign, traffic police across Europe will be ensuring compliance with all of the regulations which aim to make the roads a little bit safer for all.
Remember that if you are venturing into the mountain areas, which in some cases might be less than an hour from the sunny coast, snow chains should be a consideration to avoid getting stranded.

In the air, the scheduled 23,100 flights expected across Europe are expected to reduce on account of cancellations due to a strike by Frankfurt based cabin crew. Lufthansa and Lufthansa Cityline are to be affected with the exception of early morning long haul arrivals.
In preparation for the implementation of a new system in the autumn, live trials are expected in the Paris Air Traffic Control system, which not only affects the immediate area but French airspace, and on Tuesday there will be a 30% reduction in capacity for one such trial. Sticking with France and Cannes is expected to be busy for a real estate event, as participants all jet in and out on their private aircraft.
Air Traffic Control staff are on strike again at Lanzarote.
Amongst the military exercises taking place this week, ETAP-C 24-1 will take place in Spain until 22 March 2024, with airspace around the central belt from Madrid to Barcelona mostly affected, though with minimal impact on commercial traffic.
