Trafford and Friends is part of the N332 Road Safety Project, with a single aim – To bring road safety education and advice to the youngest generation, setting them up for a safer future now!
Hi, I’m Trafford!
I help keep children safe – and you can be part of this important mission too.
WELCOME
Trafford and Friends is a multimedia educational campaign developed by the long-running N332 Road Safety Project, designed to engage young children with vital messages on road safety, beach safety, and general wellbeing.
Using fun, colourful 3D animated characters and catchy songs, Trafford and his friends – including a friendly police officer, caring grown-ups, and even a singing teacher – show and explain simple but important life lessons to children aged 4 to 8.
Following the principles of Cognitive Load Theory, we create resources that are accessible, memorable, and enjoyable – guiding children’s understanding of safety through auditory, visual, and tactile learning techniques.
The first release in the series, Beach Safe with Trafford, sets the tone with vibrant animation, memorable music, and gentle storytelling. It is accompanied by downloadable educational materials, quizzes, and colouring sheets – all designed to reinforce safe behaviour in the real world.

However, working within the space of child-focused media requires careful adherence to UK, EU, and international advertising and broadcasting standards, including:
- Avoiding direct marketing to children
- Maintaining editorial independence in educational content
- Clearly separating branded content from storytelling
- Ensuring that no content misleads or exploits a child’s credulity or sense of loyalty
We take these standards seriously. All branded sponsorship content is reviewed to comply with the CAP Code (UK), UNICEF Guidelines, and European AVMSD (Audiovisual Media Services Directive) to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our young audience.
What Sponsors Receive
Sponsorship packages offer brand recognition without over-commercialisation, including:
- Logo placement on printed materials, websites, and select scenes (with restrictions).
- Acknowledgement in our credits and school tour materials.
- Inclusion in our “Thank You” campaigns via social media and newsletters.
- Use of “Supporter of Trafford & Friends” badge for your brand communications.
- Brand presence at selected events, talks, and workshops (where appropriate).
Sponsors will never be associated with inappropriate content, nor placed into positions where children may mistake advertising for editorial endorsement.
What is Sponsorship Used For?
This is not an exhaustive list, as it will develop during the course of the campaign, but initially, sponsorship will be used with the intention of us providing such materials as:
- Printed “colouring in sheets”
- Educational play material
- Crayons or coloured pencils
- Badges and rewards
- Stickers
- Information cards
- T-shirts
- Hats
- Bags
As well as contributing towards our periodic tour of schools, where we will offer a live presentation to children, and give them the materials we obtain.
The contributions also mean that we are able to publish videos, music, books, digital and in print, interactive games, and the dedicated website, all of which are designed to be enjoyed by the children, but with their grown-ups, reinforcing education through tactile and audio visual learning.
At the moment, Trafford and Friends has a presence on the dedicated website, YouTube, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon music, N332 Radio, Kindle, and merchandise available from Amazon store.

Each campaign includes, amongst other elements, an animated video on YouTube, a catchy song distributed through all major streaming platforms, such as Spotify, and available for viral streaming through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc, an accompanying booklet including the campaign “story” and song lyrics available online, to print, and on Kindle, downloadable materials such as colouring in sheets, interactive games, posters, and other support materials for parents, guardians and teachers.
